I'm a librarian by trade and my work is centered around this skill set; however, a large part of my responsibility involves administrating CBM's development projects throughout Bolivia with my wife Kallie. Having a background in libraries has been an asset as it relates to such themes as non-profit management and project proposals, regular aspects of this work. I also work with two seminary libraries: Seminario Teologico Bautista & Seminario Biblico U.C.E. My focus at these seminaries involves supporting school administration in their pursuit to improve their library’s organizational structure, library policies, technology, and staff training. Beyond this, I often have the opportunity to collaborate with key people to trouble shoot and innovatively solve a variety of library issues (which is why the job is so fun). Additionally, I have the opportunity to do a bit of teaching as well.
Since 2013, I have also overseen the library of Carachipampa Christian School (CCS), an international K-12 non-profit organization that provides a North American standard of education to children of international aid and ministry workers as well as many Bolivians. The primary focus in the CCS Library is ensuring it meets accreditation standards. To this end, I have developed a strategic vision & collection development policy which we are working to implement effectively.
